Letter From the Chief:

 May 1, 2017

 Dear Citizens,

Beginning on May 1st, South Pierce Fire and Rescue 17 implemented a flexible staffing scenario in order to maintain the best possible emergency response to every citizen within our district.  The need to implement flexible staffing comes from a mixture of immediate need, unexpected staffing changes, as well as the joyful news of several new additions to our fire family.  These staffing changes are expected to run through July 31st.  After which time, we fully expect to have crews back in their respective stations.

Prior to the flexible staffing change, the following stations were staffed full time by our crews:

Station 170, located at 5403 340th Street East, Eatonville.

Station 171, located at 302 McNaught Rd, Roy.

Station 84, located at 201 Center Street, Eatonville.

As a result of flexible staffing, the following stations will be staffed full time by our crews:

Station 171, located at 302 McNaught Rd, Roy.

Station 175, located at 11111 Trek Drive, Eatonville.

When staffing allows we will also staff station 84, located at 201 Center St, Eatonville.

Administrative staff will remain at stations 170 and 84 during normal business hours.

It is always the goal of every member of our department to provide the highest level of service to all of the residents of South Pierce and Eatonville.  As our highest priority great thought, planning and care was taken in order to establish the best service for this three month period.

We welcome any comments, questions, or concerns regarding this matter.  Thank you for allowing our department to continue to provide the highest level of care and emergency response to you during this time.

 Lloyd Galey

Fire Chief
